Happy Monday everyone! Hopefully you all enjoyed your weekend and here’s to the start of a happy and positive week ahead. We’ve had a busy week and an even busier weekend which isn’t set to slow down much this week either! Archie is in a production of Chicago at the end of this week and has been in rehearsals what seems like 24/7 these last few weeks – we really haven’t seen a lot of him! On Saturday he had orchestra for 2 hours followed by a quick hair cut and a 3 hour basketball tournament and then on to a Chicago rehearsal until 6. He was then back for another rehearsal all afternoon and evening on Sunday. He loves it though and is more than happy to spend all this time in school and I guess I should definitely be thankful for that! Andrew’s brother came to visit this weekend which was lovely but I now feel like I have eaten enough food to last me until Easter! Andrew’s brother is a butcher and always brings us a lovely package of treats when he comes to stay – we have dined like kings all weekend! One of the best things about this weekend has been the weather though – the sun has been doing it’s thing and it has been beautiful!
Apologies if it’s been miserable where you are but here it has felt so Spring-like and prompted a shopping trip to my favourite place, Homesense, to stock up on Spring and Easter decor! I don’t know about you, but the sun just makes everything seem so positive. When the sun is shining I never struggle to get out of bed, the cleaning and housework is a pleasure, taking the dog for a walk is never a chore and getting out and about in the fresh air is a must. It has been bitterly cold outside and I know we are due some pretty horrendous weather this week but this makes me want to make the most of the sun even more because I know it’s only making a fleeting visit.
I actually think I prefer Winter sun to Summer sun. No need for worrying about how I look in a pair of shorts or if my legs are too pasty and white! I can wrap up warm, don my favourite bobble hat and let the sun warm my soul. Lack of vitamin D can leave us feeling depressed and low so I guess it stands to reason that getting out into the sunshine and boosting our vitamin D will help turn our frowns upside down. Who knows how I’ll feel if and when the snow comes this week but right now I feel energised, content and ready for anything the world wants to throw at me!
Until next time…
Nicx

Great post, I am glad the weather has been good where you are. It is freezing here lol
well the weather was lovely until today when the snow hit. Blizzards at times but then waves of glorious sunshine, which almost made up for the fact of being freezing cold haha xx
