As Phoebe gets older we seem to get more and more birthday party invitations which is lovely for her but not so lovely for me who has to sort out the gift and the card and make sure we have wrapping paper. I’ve lost count of the times I have dashed out on the morning of the party to grab the first gift I can find and then got home to find I’ve got no wrapping paper and no card!
I remember when I was growing up my Mum had a ‘present drawer’. Whenever we were out shopping and she saw things that would be good for birthday gifts she bought them and put them in the drawer. Then when I was invited to a party we delved into the drawer and there was always something suitable! It was great for last minute events too.
So now Phoebe is 6 the parties are on the increase. I am definitely not a fan of giving money or vouchers for presents…personally I think it’s a bit of a cop out. I like to at least try to put some thought into the gifts I buy…even if they are last minute ones! So when what2buy4kids contacted me to ask me to collaborate I jumped at the chance to look at their site and find some perfect presents for 6 year old girls!
What2buyforkids have a great range of toys and games for girls and boys up to 12 years of age. There are some really unusual gifts which are great for birthday presents as it’s lovely to give something a little bit different and memorable! So I thought I would put together a gift guide with my top 12 perfect presents for 6 year old girls. I have also linked some of my favourites from Amazon. I am quite pleased when the children get gifts that give them something to do. There’s nothing better, on a wet weekend, than fishing out a few crafty presents that they were given for their birthday to keep them occupied for a few hours.
What2buy4kids gifts are great value and they also offer a gift wrapping service which is a life saver for me! I think I’m going to stock up and get myself sorted for the next 12 months so I can sit back and wear my ‘Mum of the Year’ crown with my smug smile knowing that I am present-ready!
As well as these great gift ideas what2buy4kids also do some great chocolate gifts! I love the idea of their chocolate pizza! As a treat for my readers they have kindly agreed to giveaway a Mini Pizza Gift Set to one lucky person. I think it would make my day if I randomly received one of these in the post! Why not enter and hopefully one of these beauties will be on it’s way to you very soon!
