Monday Motivation #10 – Follow your dreams

Here we are again!  Happy Monday morning everyone.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  We had a brief interlude from the last few weeks of very wet weather and managed to get out and enjoy some fresh air walking the dogs in the woods which was great fun.  I took my camera with the new lens I got for Christmas and managed to get some shots of the family having some outdoor fun.  I had planned to share some on here but for some reason they are not playing ball right now, so I’ll have to save them for another time.

So today’s Monday motivation is for all those who are working towards achieving their dreams right now.  Anyone who has given up something or taken a risk to achieve a passion will know that not everyone is always as happy as you are to see you succeed.  Personally that makes me even more determined to work hard, to prove people wrong and prove to myself that I can do it.  Blogging isn’t something that everyone understands, I suppose it can seem self indulgent to anyone that doesn’t see the hard work and effort that goes into getting more than your best friends to read something you’ve written.  For me it’s not about popularity or fame (although that would be nice!) it’s really about the writing and about sharing things that are special to me.  No blogger forces anyone to read their work and no vlogger forces you to watch their videos but they are all doing something that they are passionate about and in itself that should be enough to inspire someone else to follow their own dreams.

I was recently introduced to the lovely Cassie Farren at a local business networking event.  Cassie is an author, speaker and trainer and works with women in business helping them achieve their goals.  Cassie introduced me to her book The Girl who Refused to Quit and I have been so keen to read it.  I ordered a copy of the book and it arrived yesterday and I am really excited to start!  I will be reviewing it once I’ve finished it, but if you’re needing to feel inspired, if you’re feeling like you want to quit on your dreams then you can get a copy here and feel motivated to keep going.

So if you’re starting a new business, or thinking about starting one, if you are following a dream or working towards a major goal in your life then remember that your dream is your own and no one else has the right to rain on it!
